My Christian Faith

I am an evangelical Christian. I am first and foremost a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ. I believe that He is the Messiah whose coming was prophesied by the prophets of Israel, that He died on the cross to accomplish atonement for mankind’s sins so that God might give Him a Name above all names and save all mankind from perishing, and that God accepted His atoning sacrifice and resurrected Him as a sign of the seal on mankind’s redemption and as the first fruits of salvation. He is present now and available to all who call upon His name through the Holy Spirit that dwells within people.

A Facelift

So far this blog hasn’t seen too much activity and hasn’t even touched anything remotely related to politics or religion. For the most part, that’s because I have been completely swamped at work and just haven’t had the time for anything that wasn’t related to getting the project at work off the ground and running. Thankfully, we have a delivery coming up on Monday, and there is an ever so slight drop in pressure as we ship a release.

So this weekend has been the first time in weeks that I have had the leisure to really examine my blog again and think about its look. After playing around a bit, I found some inspiration in the wee hours of the morning and managed to update the look of the blog once more. I’m not certain whether this is the final product, but it definitely represents a first step towards defining my own look for this site. Thanks go out to Malin for some useful pointers about colors and contrast!

So, what do you think?

On Christmas Day after a very nice time spent visiting with my mother-in-law and her husband, Melinda and I returned home and got out the stockings that my mother-in-law had filled for our two boys Bodie and Doobie. One of the items was a small plush ball that most dogs would probably enjoy squeezing and gnawing on. But not so with Bodie. Let us observe the inevitable tragic outcome.
